Martin has been working with Fortune 500 firms in China to design and deliver incubation and acceleration programs since 2012. More specifically, he designed and rolled out the idea acceleration programs for Intel China’s Ideas2Reality Program, which receive the International Innovation Award in 2017 from Enterprise Asia. Martin also designed and deployed programs for Johnson & Johnson’s Emerging Market Innovation Center and Honeywell China’s Idea Incubator. In 2018, Martin joined the Fung Group’s as the Senior Vice President of their Strategy and Business Practices team.

Dr. Gaia Grant is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Sydney Business School in the Discipline of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, focusing on research into innovation paradoxes and ambidexterity for socially responsible and sustainable innovation. Gaia is also the Managing Director of Tirian International Consulting, the author of a number of books including ‘The Innovation Race’, and a consultant and keynote speaker. Gaia has worked with a number of corporate clients globally including Google (US), Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts (Canada), Visa (US), Salesforce (Asia Pacific) Colgate Palmolive (Innovation Lab America. Gaia is the creator of ‘The Innovator’s Profile’ (iCLi) and ‘Polar Positioning’ (PoP) tools designed for navigating innovation leadership and culture.
Jesse Hsu is dual-based in Shanghai China and Singapore. He has been known among the multinational companies in Asia Pacific for his impressive coaching reviews and service record since 2007. Mr. Hsu has coached numerous CEOs, CFOs, Presidents, VPs and country heads. He has over 10,000 hours of client interaction covering business life stages from start-up, M&A integration, accelerated growth, mature, to turnaround.
Before working as an executive coach and program facilitator, Mr. Hsu developed over 20 years of leadership experience in a wide range of disciplines including corporate finance, marketing research, general management, business development and intellectual property management in global companies like Procter & Gamble, McKinsey & Co. Having aided his own businesses, Mr Hsu also consulted with prestige clients such as, American Management Association to build joint venture projects with international partners. Mr. Hsu earned his BA in Political Science with the elite National Taiwan University, and MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management with dual majors in Marketing and Finance. He was the first Chinese to pass the Advanced Coaching Certification, as an Executive Coach from the Columbia University in the New York City.
Mr. Huang founded 4stones Cross-Cultural Development Co. Ltd, which is the first cross-cultural management firm in China. As a management consultant, Mr. Huang has worked with numerous large Chinese national corporations that include, Kunming Pharmaceutical Group, Kelon, Nanfu Battery, and China Life Insurance, as well as MNCs including SPX, Telkom Indonesia, Fujitsu, and Phillips Medical System. Prior to 4stones, Mr. Huang was Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Oztime Education Technology and Network Co. Ltd, which is a leading e-learning company in China. Donny’s vast experience ranged from, managing director for Pilot Marketing Management Consulting Co. Ltd. and Vice President at DataHouse, a 30-year Honolulu-based management and technology consulting company. He also served as International Operations Supervisor and Resident Representative-China for Allied Domecq Retailing International, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts. Mr.Huang was responsible for setting up the first Dunkin’ Donuts store in China.
Mr. Huang taught Intercultural Communications at Chaminade University of Honolulu, and was an addition to the faculty at Japan-American Institute of Management Science (JAIMS). Currently he is a professor at Sino-US Business School in Beijing, specialising in MBA courses for Cross-Cultural Management, Principle of Marketing, Marketing Management, and Leadership & Motivation.
Xin Li received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA in 2005, and the M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2001 and 1998, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University, Durham, NC, and serves as the Associate Dean for Research, the Director of the Institute of Applied Physical Sciences and Engineering (iAPSE), the Director of the Data Science Research Center (DSRC) and the Director of the Master of Engineering Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke Kunshan University, Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. His research interests include integrated circuit, signal processing and data analytics.
Dr. Xin Li is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IEEE TCAD. He was an Associate Editor of IEEE TCAD, IEEE TBME, ACM TODAES, IEEE D&T and IET CPS. He served on the Executive Committee of DAC, ACM SIGDA, IEEE TCCPS, and IEEE TCVLSI. He was the General Chair of ISVLSI, iNIS and FAC, and the Technical Program Chair of CAD/Graphics. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2012, two IEEE Donald O. Pederson Best Paper Awards in 2013 and 2016, the DAC Best Paper Award in 2010, two ICCAD Best Paper Awards in 2004 and 2011, the ISIC Best Paper Award in 2014, and the Cadence Academic Collaboration Award in 2018. He also received six Best Paper Nominations from DAC, ICCAD and CICC. He is a Fellow of IEEE.
Mr. Liu Xiaoguang is one of the very few Chinese leaders, who has held critical positions within large multinational companies at a global level. During the time of his international career, Mr. Liu has been driving the work of strategy development and implementation, organization transformation and innovation, with focus on the human side of the business. Human capital strategy, HR department transformation, and the executive leadership development are at the core of his core professional areas.
Hugely experienced, Mr. Liu has worked in the world largest private owned pharmaceutical company, Boehringer Ingelheim for 7 years. His roles included, VP of Global HR Strategy, VP of Global Leadership Development, Director of Great China Talent Management Practice. Mr. Liu has been the pioneer to start his exploration in a very new field, ‘Balance and Maximize Organization’s Commercial Value and Social Impact’. Through his work, he is determined to maximise commercial organization’s social value and impact, and to create social enterprise long term sustainability and financial independence.
Jeff Moe is a professor of the practice of global health at Duke Global Health Institute. His expertise lies in: Access to Health Care; Aging; Health Economics; Health Systems; Information and Communication Technology. Prior to his current role at DGHI (Duke Global Health Institute), Jeff, was an Executive in Residence at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and, since 2012, an adjunct faculty member at DGHI. Dr. Moe also served as Director in GlaxoSmithKline in the areas such as Business Development, Corporate Strategy, and Strategic Research for more than 10 years.
Dr. Moe and two Duke colleagues, David Ridley and Henry Grabowski, are widely known for their 2006 article, Developing Drugs for Developing Countries, published in Health Affairs, which recommended a prize — a priority review voucher (PRV) — to reward new therapeutics and diagnostics for neglected diseases. The 2007 FDA Amendments Act made the PRV into law.
He continues to collaborate with ethicists, public agencies and private firms regarding the ethical challenges when patients demand expanded access to new therapeutics and public private partnerships are created to accelerate the discovery of innovative therapeutics.
Jen Sheridan is the Managing Director of Learn More, a company that aims to deliver results that make a difference to individual, team and organization performance. Jen has over 20 years experience working in learning and organizational development with listed, private, public and not-for-profit organizations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the USA. She also has over twelve years in Executive Education with Australia’s leading business schools teaching on the Executive MBA, Advanced Management Program as well as designing and facilitating customized leadership programs for top 100 ASX companies and multi-nationals.
Jen designed and facilitated multi-tiered Leadership and Management Programmes, as well designing Senior Leadership Programmes for infrastructure, mining, banking and utilities companies.
With strong community relationships and wide-ranging experience working with indigenous people and organisations in WA and NT, including Leadership Development Programmes and Executive Coaching, Jen is attached to the Australian Graduate School of Business (AGSM-UNSW).
Robin Speculand is a pioneer in the field of strategy implementation. As the Chief Executive of Bridges Business Consultancy Int, he has extensive expertise in Strategy Execution, Strategy Amidst Change, and Aligning People & Processes. Robin started Bridges Business Consultancy Int, directly from his role in Citigroup as its Regional Vice President, Corporate Bank, Asia Pacific. With his prolific approach, Robin transforms and delivers to organizations around the world, by helping leaders understand and acknowledge strategy execution challenges. Dr. Shenglan Tang is Mary D.B.T. and James Semans Professor at Department of Population Health Science in the Duke University School of Medicine, and the deputy director of the Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI). He is also a professor of global health at DGHI and SingHealth-Duke-NUS Global Health Institute in Singapore, along with, Director of the Research Hub for Asia-Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies/WHO, at Duke Kunshan University in China.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Tang is undertaking research on health systems reform, disease control and maternal and child health in China. In 2012, Dr. Tang arrived at Duke, from the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), based in Geneva, where he was Unit Leader for TB/HIV and Health Systems. Before his assignment at WHO, Tang was a faculty member at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in UK and at the School of Public Health of Fudan University (formerly Shanghai Medical University).
Lijing L. Yan, PhD, MPH, is currently an associate research professor at the Duke Global Health Institute, Duke University in the USA, and the Head of Non-communicable Chronic Diseases (NCDs) Research at the Global Health Research Center of Duke Kunshan University in China since July 2014. Previously, she was the Deputy Director of the George Institute for Global Health at Peking University Health Science Center and Director of the China International Center for Chronic Disease Prevention, a large network of 5 international academic institutions and 7 Chinese institutions dedicated to combat NCDs in China. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Peking University, a Master of Public Health degree and a doctoral degree in Demography from the University of California, Berkeley. Her main areas of research are chronic disease prevention and control (hypertension, heart disease, and stroke in particular), healthy ageing, and innovation in translational health systems and services research and implementation science. She is the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on a number of NHLBI-funded and China-funded research grants.
Xiaodong Yang is the Advisor of Duke Corp Education and Duke KunShan Univ. He has jointly designed, orchestrated and delivered a number of Duke programs serving Roche, Rio Tinto, HSBC, Boeing and other leading global companies. He is the author of two innovation related books published by Tsinghua Univ. He also contributed to a number of business journals including Harvard Business Review (China Version), MIT Business Review (China Version), CEIBS Business Review, Dialogue and etc. As an educator, he has taught senior leaders from companies including China Aerospace, China Railway Construction, China Mobile, Southern Grid, China Electronics, COFCO, Yunnan Baiyao, Volvo, ENN, and etc. Graduated from Tsinghua Univ. with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Xiaodong also an MBA from Case Western and an MSIS from Indiana University.
Liang Yu is passionate about business education, leadership development and entrepreneurship. He currently works in Duke Kunshan University overseeing its executive education business. He partners with the leading companies to grow their leadership and organizational capability and enjoys the process of designing transformational learning journey for leaders from around the world. Prior to Duke Kunshan, Liang has worked for Deloitte Consulting in organizational change practice and Duke Corporate Education in in senior executive development.
His current research and teaching focuses on digital culture and leadership transformation for the traditional companies and he is keen to design learning experiences that could develop responsible, creative and collaborative leaders for the future.
Liang Yu translated Giving Voice to Values, a masterpiece for value-driven leadership that was written by Prof. Mary Gentile, into Chinese. Liang loves reading about philosophy, ethics, politics, entrepreneurship, higher education, cross culture leadership and linguistics. He holds an MBA degree from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University where he served as a COLE Leadership Fellow during 2012-2013. He lives in Kunshan China with his family.
